reflection on John Lennon’s ‘i solation’

My interpretation of John’s Song:

People
say we(‘ve) got it made

Don’t
they know we’re so afraid?

I—seul-ation
[French for alone]

We’re
afraid to be alone;

Everybody
got to have a
home,

Isolation
[French for insulation!]

Just
a boy and a little girl

Trying
to change the whole wide world

I—solace
tion
[consolation – to
allay – appeasal]

The
world is just a little town –

Everybody
trying to put us down

–Ha
Ha ha!—
soll-eh, Sean?

I
don’t expect
you… to under-stand,

After
you’ve caused … so much pain;

But
then again, you’re not to blame;

You’re
just a human:

a
victim of the
insa—–ne!

We’re
afraid of everyone

afraid of the sun:

I
soleil shun
[French for sun / shun = deliberately avoid]

The
Sun will never disappear,

But
the world may not have many years

I
— h-hi-high —
solation!
[the liquefaction of a
gel
]

Ever have an idea or gut feeling, which you feel may have been mediated, for which there is no proof yet you feel nevertheless is valid and important enough to share? I put these down on blog to rid myself of them - it is a question of freedom of speech, and freedom of thought, and freedom from religious persecution. If anyone should feel offended, please be free to leave my blog.
